Whether you are close to graduating, or have several years left in your residency, it’s never too early to start thinking about post-graduation plans. We invite residents to contact us at any point during their residency to get more information about searching for jobs, interviewing, applying, and comparing salaries and practice models.
We currently offer Senior Residents Day and a Management Fellowship program to Emergency Medicine Residents.
Emergency Medicine Senior Resident’s Day
CEP America hosts a Senior Resident’s Day every year as an educational service to emergency medicine residents. The program provides exposure to the business aspects of emergency medicine and information on the transition from residency to independent practice. The program consists of a half-day of brief lectures and a panel discussion/Q&A session, all given by recent EM residency graduates who are now in practice. Program topics include how to evaluate different practice models, comparing salary offers, financial planning, and life in practice.
Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship
CEP America offers Administrative Fellowships that provide in-depth training in leadership, administration, and financial management in Emergency Medicine. Mentored by the Partnership’s Chief Medical Officer, Vice-President of Operations, and Divisional and Regional Directors, Fellows are involved in various projects that introduce them to issues important to Emergency Physicians, such as quality, risk, advocacy, and continuing education.
Fellows will be exposed to a wide array of leadership experiences, participate in governance and management meetings, and become an active member of the CEP America management team by working on various projects at the central and site level. In addition, Fellows will have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills by participating in CEP America’s Leadership Development Programs and the various governance and management meetings.
Apply now to the Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship.
